TPRFN Network Polling Station:
Running a full service Packet BBS/Node (BPQ recommended)
a. Additional provide Winlink RMS access (optional)
b. Additional provide APRS RF to IS access (optional)
Operates on its posted frequencies.
Operating modes:
a. VARA HF (BW500) Primary network mode
b. ARDOP
c. 300bd AX25 or VARA HF for APRS
d. 300bd AX25 on the Net105 frequencies (BUT NO FORWARDING) KB access only!
Basic operating configuration is NVIS (where possible)
Network Hub Stations do not forward to Polling Stations.
Polling stations operator independent of the network on their own frequencies and times.
Polling Stations allow for end users to post messages on their systems and then the Polling Station will change to the proper frequency and connect to a Hub Station and drop messages into the network.
The Polling Station can also as needed connect to a Hub Station and poll (where the name came from) for whichever message types it would like to receive.
